Why NuVu?

Students come to NuVu because they see all of the ways in which the future can be better than the present and because they're excited to lead the way.

Students come to NuVu because they're looking for an environment that focuses on individual growth, not labels and grades.

Students come to NuVu because they're tired of assignments that focus on memorization and don't feel meaningful.

If you are between the ages of 13 to 18, self-motivated, inquisitive about the world around you and interested in collaborating to solve meaningful problems, then you may be a good fit for NuVu.

We have a 4-step admissions process that’s structured to help you learn more about NuVu and decide whether you’ll thrive in our dynamic and creative environment.

Step 1 Inquiry

Contact Karen Sutton, NuVu’s Director of Operations, by email at ksutton@nuvustudio.org or by phone at (617) 945-7716. A follow-up Zoom or phone call with the prospective family will be promptly arranged.

Step 2 Get to Know NuVu

In response to all inquiries, an introductory meeting is scheduled with all prospective families. Interested parents and students meet with Karen Sutton for 30-60 minutes. These meetings cover general information about NuVu and our unique and diverse school curriculum and culture.

Step 3 Interview

Interviews and conversations with both students and parents/guardians helps us learn more about your interest in NuVu, provide more information about all aspects of our school, and ensure that a student is a good fit to NuVu

Step 4 Apply + Notification

NuVu is now accepting applicants on a rolling admissions basis. Following the interview, admissions forms are sent to the prospective student and parents. Admissions forms must be completed and submitted before admission notification.

Tuition 2024-25

Tuition for the 2024-25 school year is $48,300. The tuition costs, which include your enrollment deposit ($1000), cover all materials, tools, and resources needed. There are three payment plan options for annual tuition with NuVu that we offer:

- Single payment
- Three installments
- Nine monthly installments

Families receive an Enrollment Contract upon acceptance.

Financial Aid

A NuVu education is a powerful and life-changing investment in your child’s future. When you look at the tuition numbers, don’t make the mistake of assuming that NuVu is out of reach for your family. If your child is motivated and ready to engage fully in the innovation, design, creative, and thinking opportunities NuVu has to offer — and if you are ready to invest in a deep partnership to prepare your child for college and the world beyond — we encourage you to inquire. There are many ways to afford NuVu, including financial aid and scholarships, and we are here to help every qualified applicant find their way.

Applicants may be awarded tuition assistance based on family needs and the availability of financial aid funds.
Financial aid applications are due with admissions applications forms. Financial aid determinations are announced with four weeks of submission.

All information in this application is confidential.

For the first time, the focus was not on my dyslexia, but my creativity, problem solving ability, and most importantly, my ideas.

Thank you for your extraordinary skills in designing a program that has a real impact on your students and enables them to become the best they can be! Tinna will be starting at Northeastern this fall, and her time at NuVu has truly made a meaningful difference to her and shaped who she has become.

In a regular school, working hard had a limit or a goal of getting a grade. At NuVu, there is not a limit to how hard you can work. There is no A+ and the work is done. You can always work harder and make your projects better.
