From Studio to Campus: NuVu Seniors Make Their Mark

At NuVu High School, college planning is built into the fabric of our senior year experience. This year, our robust college preparation program Beyond NuVu, was guided by College Counselor Jeremy Adams. Whether they were college-bound, pursuing gap years, or considering the workforce, every student received individualized support to plan their next steps after graduation.

Seniors focused on crafting compelling personal essays, organizing transcripts, building resumes, and finalizing portfolios that reflect the depth and creativity of their NuVu experience. Mornings were dedicated to research and writing, while afternoons provided in-studio time to develop strong portfolios—tools that have become a distinctive asset for NuVu students in the college admissions process.

This year, our seniors received acceptance letters from 15 colleges and universities new to NuVu’s historical list, including first-time admits to schools such as the University of Michigan, Purdue, and Colby. College admissions officers repeatedly noted how much they value NuVu’s hands-on, interdisciplinary approach and our students’ creative problem-solving, technical fluency, and collaborative mindset.

In total, NuVu students were accepted to 38 institutions, earning over $750,000 in merit scholarships. You can read more about several of our student’s journey’s HERE.

Meanwhile, several students are pursuing alternative paths with intention and planning—gap years, postgraduate programs, and explorations into the workforce—supported by detailed research plans, resumes, and completed portfolios.

NuVu’s innovative curriculum not only opens doors to top-tier colleges, but also empowers students to carve out paths that align with their passions, skills, and goals beyond graduation.
